Sergey Sidorenko

  • He completed his degree in choral conducting in 2002 and his degree in opera-symphonic directing in 2006. He trained at the Bolshoi Theater from 1999 to 2001. In 2004, he worked at the national opera of Lyons, France, while they performed Dmitri Shostakovich’s operetta “Moscow-Cheryomushki,” and worked in the Royal Opera of Stockholm, Sweden, on Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s “Evgeny Onegin” the following year.
  • In 2001-2013, he was the director of the Swedish embassy’s choir in Russia.
  • In 2012 he organized the “Preobrazhensky Parishioners Choir” among parishioners of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, which he is continues to lead.
  • Sergey has also been the choirmaster of Tula State Choir since 2016.
  • He is an Honored Member of the Choir Conductors’ Association of Croatia, a member of the Russian Musical Union, and winner of many international choral competitions.
